MeWe.com – The Next-Gen Social Network

The internet as we knew it, has a serious problem. This should be clear to all of us at least since Donald Trump got deplatformed on social media. Of course not everybody does necessarily approve President Trump’s statements but everybody hast to realize, if BigTech doesn’t shy away from silencing even the President of the United States then freedom of speech is seriously jeopardized for the rest of us.

If you’re only posting selfies of yourself or photos of your stamp collection on social media then you probably don’t really understand what I’m talking about but those of us who want a free and open discourse on social media, lets say about politics or Covid19 and vaccines, without being shadow banned or censored by so called fact-checkers, we can assure you that posting, sharing and discussing content is not free anymore. BigTech decides what you’re allowed to post, share or talk about on Facebook, Youtube, Twitter etc.

Today, Facebook is still the premier website for social media but it has become ‘too corporate’ with the company in constant need of addressing privacy issues and other controversies. No one can forget the Facebook–Cambridge Analytica data scandal. Somehow we all knew that something shady was going on behind the curtain but seeing the extend of the surveillance was scary. However, the most of us continued using facebook because our manipulation through our data was subtle. It was nothing we should have to worry about, at least that’s what we were telling ourselves, right?!

Did Facebook learn something? Did it change something to win back our trust? It does not look like that as the latest publication by Project Veritas makes us wonder once again.

A Facebook “insider,” identified as a Data Center Engineer, says” …  “They want to build a community where everybody complies, not where people can have open discourse and dialogue about the most personal and private and intimate decisions that anybody could ever face in their life, which is regarding their own body, their own health.”

When it comes to our own health,
nobody is allowed to manipulate or to force us to anything!

For those who have another opinion I suggest to dig deeper into the Nuremberg Code, and why it was written.

It seems that the red line has been crossed long ago by BigTech and the time has come where we all should ask ourselves, do we want to be treated like that? Can we do anything about that? Of course we should and of course we can!

Solution 1: Go Analog!

Not only because this idea is surely the greatest nightmare of Facebook & Co. you definitely should go back and do this more often. Nothing can replace a get together with friends in the real world. Don’t forget to switch of your smartphones and put them away! 😋

Solution 2: Switch to other services

If you still want to engage in social media for personal reasons or work, you can switch to other services and encourage your friends and customers to do the same. I started with switching from Facebook to MeWe.com. MeWe is a fast-growing social media platform continuing to grow its user base in competition with Facebook. MeWe claims that it does not share or sell your personal information to advertisers or marketers. There are no ads, no targeting, no newsfeed manipulation and NO BS!

And the best thing for companies is that they can connect with 100% of their followers and customers with a MeWe page where there are no interfering advertisements, no newsfeed manipulation or algorithms, and no need to pay to boost content to reach followers.

MeWe is “free forever”. All the great features that people love in social media and none of the BS are free and standard on MeWe including: newsfeeds for your contacts and Close Friends; private 1:1 and group chats; private and open groups; following pages; disappearing content; Stories; custom camera with GIF creation; next-gen voice messaging; personal cloud storage; custom group profiles; 2,800+ emojis; MeWe’s exclusive dual-camera; and much more. In addition, there are optional enhancements like custom emojis and custom stickers you may purchase if you want. MeWe Pages are chargeable, unlike the free Facebook Pages but everyone who runs a page on facebook knows that free isn’t worth anything without paying and boosting for every post.
